3582 places in Bulgaria are cleaner as a result of the Campaign "Let's Clear Bulgaria Together". The number of places is twice bigger than the previous record in 2015 from the bTV campaign. At the landfills about 3788 tons of waste were discharged, according to data from the Ministry of Environment and Waters.
The initiative set a record for cleaning the highest and deepest point: 20 meters below sea level and 2290 meters above sea level. A specialized team of divers cleaned the Black Sea bottom near Varna, and alpinists from the Mountain Rescue Service and the Bulgarian Rock Climbing Federation cleaned the huge stones behind Cherni Vrah.
305,401 people came out on the day of the big cleaning, and this number is very impressive, commented Mr. Avinoam Katrieli, President of Foundation “I Love Bulgaria”.
