Jubilees donated to their native village Levochevo some new windows for the local cinema according to old tradition

" If everyone takes to do something useful to society, we will all enjoy a lot ore benefits", commented Mr. Avinoam Katrieli, President of Foundation "I Love Bulgaria", on the occasion of the "50-year-custom" in the village of Levochevo.

This happened on Ilinden. Traditionally, at the meeting of the generations here, people who celebrate 50  years donate something socially useful to their village. This year, 10 jubilees which are born during 1967 decided to provide some new PVC windows for the local cinema. So far such donations are: a bus stop, 4 fountains, a children's playground, an arch at the entrance to the village. Also, the local people enjoy a pavilion, wood-carved doors of the Chitalishte, the chandelier for the St. Peter and Paul Church, the entrance to the churchyard, a shed for two-footed boars in the courtyard of the 176-year-old village church. Among the most memorable donations are those of people which were born during 1957 and 1958. Then the jubilees decorated the church of St. Peter and Paul with two large chandeliers. In 2012, the Jubilees provided a throne cross and a gospel. The building contractor Dimitar Yazov, who is no longer among the living,  by the order of people which are born in the 1956, made a large shelter with benches and barbecue in the courtyard of the temple, where today people gather for church feasts. Businessman Todor Batkov, who is also a native of the Rhodope village, donated an electronic clock that also shows the air temperature of the building of the town hall.

"Ten grown up girls and boys return to their roots to remember their first teacher and to share what has changed in their lives," told excitedly Maria Koleva, one of celebrating woman, wishing herself and the rest of her company to meet each other again in 10 years.
